The rangea of Rinells, Aden and Natara are
inadequats, on account of
(a) the proposed removal of the existing
X/T linking station at Cairo.
(b) the present unsatisfactory point-to-
point service between Aden and Matara.
St. Helena. A station here would be admirably
sited for Naval strategic purposes, and
would link up with Balfis Bay (S. Africa)
and Bathurst. In view, however, of the
fact that it would be entirely unremunera-
tive in peace time, the Admiralty do not
propose to press for this station until
tests have been made with the station
